Prof. Guangyu Shi of LASG was elected the academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Congratulations to Prof. Shi!

Prof. Shi's research interest includes atmospheric radiation and climate change, the impact of Asian dust on ocean ecosystem, and Atmosphere Brown Clouds (ABC) study . He's actively engaged in the Surface Ocean and Lower Atmosphere Study (SOLAS) and has been the SSC Member of IGBP-SOLAS since 2005.
