The YOTC International Science Symposium and the 8th Asian Monsoon Years (AMY) Workshop will be held on 16-19 May, 2011 in Beijing. The conference will be jointly hosted by LASG and CMA. It will explore scientific overlap between weather and climate (seamless prediction) in the context of intraseasonal tropical variability and convection-wave interaction;  variability and predictability of the monsoon system; tropical-extratropical interaction; easterly waves and tropical cyclones; and the diurnal cycle.
