LASG is going to hold a summer symposium in Yinchuan, Ningxia province of China from 19 to 21 August, 2009.

The theme of the symposium is Climate and Its Changes: Observation, Modeling and Dynamics. The symposium will focus on the recent research results and discoveries in the following fields:

Observed climate variability and related analysis techniques
Development, evaluation and application of climate system model 
Climate dynamics and process study 
Multi-sphere interaction and climate feedback processes in Earth climate system
Climate projection and predictability
